Xi WCDMA/UMTS
The UMTS HCU is a member of X-TEL's Host Controller
Platform. X-TEL's UMTS Host Controller uses a customized
UMTS scanner for faster and more accurate data
collection. The UMTS Scanner includes selectable
bandwidth (200 kHz or 3.84 MHz), SCH Scan, CPICH Scan,
Top N and PCCPCH Scan. The X-TEL UMTS scanner allows the
user to verify WCDMA coverage, optimize neighbor lists
and observe occurrences of scrambling code (pilot)
pollution.
Real-time and automated post-processing software enables
rapid auto-detection of neighbor list problems by
comparing handset data with UMTS scanner measurements.
The real-time display can measure CDMA specific
parameters such as: scrambling code pollution, dropped
calls, Ec/Io levels, frame error rate and many more.
Display modes for the UMTS Host Controller include a
WCDMA Phone Status Window, which displays a number of
critical WCDMA attributes, including Ec/Io, scrambling
codes, Best Ec/Io, FER%, RSSI and other WCDMA-specific
parameters, all color-coded for user functionality.
Tools are available for other technologies such as CDMA,
CDMA 2000, EDGE, GSM/GPRS, iDEN, TDMA and HSDPA.

X-PEDite is based on X-TEL’s
proven Xi collection and analysis software. X-PEDite
presents the most important metrics on system
performance for both voice and data networks.
Users have the ability to exercise the voice and
data networks, view the real time processes and
log data files for more indepth analysis.
X-PEDite is not only a hand held tester. The
test device can be attached as one of sixteen
phones to X-TEL’s Xi platform to perform drive
testing with XQi voice and video quality
options. X-PEDite also includes the ability to
attach to X-TEL’s Xi Autonomous system as a
pedestrian probe capable of remote data logging
and reporting.Features
