Our IP portfolio is 3GPP/ETSI and OMA compliant, including standard and custom Test Cases and test software for the wireless industry, in particular, providers of software protocol stacks, hardware/software integrators, manufacturers of mobile phones and network operators. Furthermore, setcom focuses on the development and provision of application testing systems. setcom’s comprehensive application testers - the S-CAT 5000 series test platforms are an easy-to-use one box solution for time and cost-effective research and development and conformance testing of mobile terminal applications complying to the wireless industry conformance test specifications.
setcom has a renowned track record in supplying test environments for 2G protocol stack testing and together with leading global partners was the first-to-market with an EGPRS technology testing solution. To complete the 2G protocol test suites, setcom introduced all relevant GSM protocol Test Cases for the same platform.
To ensure the correct implementation of mobile terminal applications, the wireless industry introduced applications conformance testing in late 2004. AE Conformance test specifications are driven by the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) and form part of an initiative to encourage the creation of interoperable services across countries, operators and mobile terminals that meet users' demands.
The Global Certification Forum (GCF) and the PCS Type Certification Review Board (PTCRB) administer conformance testing and certification of wireless terminals. The GCF administers EU countries and the PTCRB North American countries.
